Police looking for suspects in attempted robbery in Swanton

The clerk told police they were in a back room when a white male and white female entered the convenience store. The male then went behind the counter and pulled the money tray from the cash register.

The Swanton Police Department is asking the public to help identify two people accused of attempting to rob a gas station on Thursday.

Investigators said the attempted robbery occurred at the Home Town Sunoco Station on First Street at 12:48 a.m.

The clerk told police they were in a back room when a white male and white female entered the convenience store. The male then went behind the counter and pulled the money tray from the cash register.

The clerk was able to stop the man from leaving, but both suspects then physically attacked the clerk. The male suspect dropped the cash register tray before they both fled the store, according to police.

The male is described as wearing all black, including a black hooded sweatshirt and gray or blue shoes.

The female is described as being approximately 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall and was wearing a white hooded sports jacket and pink pajama pants with a Mickey Mouse pattern.
